Freeform Overview

Use the flexible asset view for iteration, multiple outputs, histories, and advanced workflows.

What Freeform shows

Freeform places the Image, Animation, and Sprite Sheet cards in one pipeline. Parallax assets also show a layer-splitting stage. Each card displays its current result, status, job details, history, redo action, editor action, and feedback controls.

Work in any sensible order

You still need an image before animation and an animation before a sprite sheet, but you can revisit any completed stage without stepping through unrelated screens. This makes Freeform ideal for an established asset.

Multiple animations

Create named animation slots for Idle, Walk, Run, Attack, Hurt, and other actions. Selecting a slot changes the current animation and corresponding sprite-sheet source. Rename slots clearly so exports remain understandable.

Histories and redo

Open history from a card to recover or compare prior generations. Redo opens the generator with current context so settings can be adjusted. Do not delete the only known-good generation before a replacement is complete.

Switching back to Wizard

The Wizard reads the same asset state. Switching modes is safe, but Wizard may focus on one selected pipeline while Freeform exposes the broader history.
