Generative Fill and Background Cleanup

Replace selected regions, remove chroma backgrounds, and clean alpha edges.

Generative fill

Select the region to replace, include a small amount of surrounding context, and describe only the desired replacement. Generative fill is useful for repairing limbs, replacing props, extending texture, or removing an unwanted object.

Selection strategy

A selection that is too tight can leave a seam. A selection that is too broad may alter approved details. Keep the important subject outside the selected area unless it must be regenerated.

Background removal

Background-removal tools convert a prepared chroma or simple background into alpha. Color-to-alpha controls help remove a specific color while preserving anti-aliased edges. Adjust threshold and ramp carefully around outlines and semi-transparent effects.

Edge cleanup

Inspect the result over both light and dark checkerboard backgrounds. Halos that are invisible on one background may be obvious in the game. Save a copy before aggressive edge processing.
